Description: This is a dodge viper RT/10. It was modeled from scratch, and textures were also all done from scratch. It comes with four colours, red with white stripes, blue with white stripes, yellow and black with fire. It includes an accurate dash, with a few changes. A real rt/10 doesn't have a gear indicator. I have put it where the over revving indicator is located, in the center cluster. I know the rpm indicator is hard to see, but it is accurate to the real thing. The sounds are all authentic. The select sound was taken from a recording of a drag race, and the in game sounds are modified from the same sample but the horn was extracted from a different game but is authentic to a dodge viper. I did use a custom bounding box to stop it from hitting the curb. A real dodge viper rt/10 would hit the curb and would dent the side exhaust pipes if you were to try to drive off a curb. I opted to go for a more enjoyable ride rather than a more realistic after getting some input from gamers.

The model is slightly more detailed than my other cars. Its polycount is about 650 for the H group, which is about the same as the average car made for mm. The textures are more detailed than most. It will look the best with best texture filter off, because the textures will be alot more crisp. While playing you might want to turn it back on. You will get better frame rates.

Tuning Modification: A real viper uses a 6 speed manual transmition. I decided to include automatic, for all those who are lazy ;). The gear ratios were based on those of a rt/10, but are slightly adjusted to work better with MM. The max rpm was set to 6000, the redline rpm for a real viper, although a real viper can go up to 6200 but at that point automatically shuts off. In terms of performance, a real viper rt/10 reaches 60 miles an hour in 4.0 seconds and 100 in 8.7. My viper is slightly slower, 60 miles in 4.2-4.5 seconds, and 100 in about 9. These were using automatic, and you could probably get slightly faster speeds with manual. The top speed I could find for an rt/10 was 177 miles an hour (from a fairly reliable source). I reached a top speed of about 177 in the straights, but I could get it up to about 180 going on a slight decline.
