CarLoader : CarLoader is a program that keeps track of cars and tracks for Midtown Madness. I suggest getting this program (http://drive.to/carloader). The Lancer is compatible with CarLoader. If it reads the file as "(error) vplancer.ar", then when its done loading, right click "(error) vplancer.ar" and select "Read Name". It should now say "'86 Dodge Lancer". To view the picture, right click "'86 Dodge Lancer" and select "View". If it brings up "No Image Found", just try it again and there should be a picture of the car. The picture has been included in the zip file for those who don't have CarLoader.

Recommended : 80-100% Physics, anything lower and the car's steering gets too sensitive and it may tip on two wheels. If you do use it under 80%, then be prepared to fall out of your seat laughing at the way it handles.

Notes : In real life, this is the first car I've ever driven. It was my parents. Its my daily driver for the time being. My car has the gold color and the 3-speed auto. Its slow as heck and sometimes won't start, but at least it runs after it's started. The Lancer is actually a stretched K-Car [Chrysler Corporations' famous compact (Dodge Aires and Plymouth Reliant). Almost all front wheel drive cars from Chrysler in the '80s were based on the K-Car including the famous Caravan/Voyager]. Its engine is a 2.2L I4 and it works well, but is underpowered.

This MM re-creation has recessed headlights, recessed license plate area, 3D mirrors, and a raised portion of the hood. The passenger side mirror is hand adjusted and the driver's side mirror is remotly controled inside the car. The passenger side mirror is suppose to be a little bit bigger than the driver's side mirror. All sounds (except the horn) are from my own car. The horn is from the '68 Mustang in-game and it works well. The sounds may seem strange, but the way the game tweaks at the sound, it just doesn't sound exactly like that, but it is kinda accurate. The tuning is tweaked from the Olds Ciera (if anyone can remember, that car was my first scratch-made car for MM). There is a 5-speed manual for great performance and economy. The 3-speed automatic transmission on this MM car are evened out and the performance is about the same with the real car. On the real car, the auto shifts at 2500 RPMs and goes thru the first two gears by 45 MPH (when the gas is floored). 0-60 time on the MM car is about 12.5 with the auto and on the real car is about 12-14 seconds with the auto. The shocks are tuned to be like what worn out, 16-year-old shocks should be. Just try rounding a corner at high speeds. Each color has it's own license plate. The first two colors are factory colors while primer grey is just for fun. The dash is as accurate as can be.

Known issues : There's some shading and reflection errors around the car when the car is facing certain directions. The most obvious shading error happens on the hatch which forms this large "V". I couldn't fix this, sorry. The bottom is just black, no details. The auto transmission seems to like to stay in the upper RPMs for a while before shifting. It hits curbs when you least expect it to. There are some cracks in the dash. Just ignore them. The guages are not perfect half circules so the needles will go out of the white markings at certain times.
