Thanks to : Addict and Rocket for their work in getting a trailer to work
with the tractor. (more on this below) They also put the final .ar
together with the two variations. Thanks to HPB_Forever for
his assistance with the tuning, much appreciated Rob! Thanks to Ashok
for providing the original suggestion that led to this project, and for
being it's biggest fan. Thanks to Mike for contributing the info for
the Burgandy version, to Eric J. for the great horn sound file,
to Michael Jones for links to textures, to Steven McDonald for dash
reference pics, and to all the other truck fans who sent me mail and
patiently waited the many months it took to get this thing completed.

Description: I built the Kenworth because Ashok convinced me too ;) and because of the lack of
trucks in the game. I wanted to make a truck that had the classic long haul rig looks without
all the streamlining that makes some trucks look more like cars. The trailer was not originally
planned, but Addict and Rockets kind offer to add a trailer to it was accepted and the first
user made trailer for MM was on it's way. I originally created a gravel dump trailer but that
would not handle correctly in the game, so we decided to go with the same shape as the in game
trailer so that the original bounding box could be used. The result was a much better looking
trailer than the original that handles as well as the in game one does.

The trailer was added to the .ar after I sent it to Rocket and Addict, so please do not ask
me how to get a trailer to work in the game, because I still don't know :) Suffice it to say,
Rocket and Addict have proven themselves to be the innovators that they have always been and this
vehicle is the result. They also packaged both the single cab and the cab and trailer versions
into one .ar file so that users will have a choice.

I apologize for the length of time I made everyone wait for this truck. I had a lot going on
with my work and at other times I just lost interest in it because it was so complicated a
project. The unexpected inclusion of a trailer midway through it also added to the delay.

Known issues:

-The hood that you see in the dash view cannot be changed to match the color of the body as
far as I know. I was willing to accept that problem because the dash looked really odd
without any hood at all.

-The truck only has 6 gears, which is anywhere from 4 to 12 gears to few, but that's what
you get when you make a truck for a game that's set up for cars.

-The truck is slow and does not accelerate quickly. This is how long haul trucks are..if you
want speed, download a Ferrari, but don't write to me telling me it's not fast enough.

-The truck has no reverse lights. Reverse lights are an option on trucks and the texture
sample for the rear lights had no reverse lights.

-The exhaust smoke that shows up in the trailer version is not aligned with the stacks.
This is because the location of the smoke is coded into the game and is not a tuning option.
The location of the Freightliner stacks are quite a bit closer to the centerline of the
truck than the Kenworth's are and I did not want to ruin the look of the Kenworth by moving
the stacks. The cab only version is not coded for the trailer, so there is no smoke.

-The flatbed trailer uses the original bounding box for the game trailer because Rocket and Addict
determined that that would be the only way we could get the trailer to work. This means that
box trailers, dump trailers, tankers, and any of the other variations of trailers cannot be
added to this truck.

-The truck uses the Freightliner drive and idle sounds. I know I'm going to get flak on
even though I tried to beef up the sound. None of the truck sounds that were sent to me or
I found sounded any better than the game sounds. I think the great airhorn makes up for
the use of the other sounds anyway. Turn up the volume and lean on that horn button as
you blast through traffic, you'll feel better :)
