Special Thanks to:
------------------

* TEK_Xacto for the mesh and textures from his Cobra driver
* Fastman for the picture for the bottom texture
* Audiogod for helping with the brake tuning and the engine sound
* Barracuda, Ironchair and other people who explained me how to make new paintjobs
* All the test drivers for their constructive comments
* Oleg M, Armed and DWI, GTS_Mike, and None1a for their well explaining tutorials
* Barracuda and Ironchair for the BOX Cam, of which I made a slightly modified version.
* All others I forgot for comments & helping me solve problems (mostly dash related)

Software used to create this vehicle:
-------------------------------------

* ZModeler v1.0
* VCK 1.4
* Photoshop 5.5 & 6.0
* GoldWave 4.24

Known bugs:
-----------

* The dash view was tuned at a screen resolution of 1024x768. At higher resolutions there is an
  an alignment problem (there's a gap at the bottom of the dashboard). I don't think that this
  is really bad as I figured that most people don't use any resolution higher then 1024x768.

A couple of words about the real BMW 540i
-----------------------------------------

* This true Autobahn vehicle is highly appreciated by car enthusiasts for offering a 6 speed
  manual transmission next to the 5 speed automatic, which is rare for cars in its class.
  The RWD and the near perfect weight distribution for which BMW is known add to the driving
  fun delivered by the 4 liter V8.
* The Sedan reaches 60 MPH in about 6.5 secs and tops at a governed 155 MPH. The 1/4 mile is
  achieved in exactly 14 seconds, at 100 MPH. The Sport Wagon is slightly slower, but still
  one of the fastest in its class.

I have done everything I could to model and to tune the car as accurate as possible. The
combination of a speed governor and an overdrive gear made it hard to tune the car at high
speed, but I did what I could. The handling might be a bit biased towards fun, even though
it generally handles like a sports sedan. The recommended level of realism is around 70 to
85 percent, realism too low will result in frequent roll-overs, too high will cause the car
to understeer a bit more then accepted for ultimate fun.

What's next ?
-------------

One day I'll make a 2002 BMW Z3, but it's possible that I'll be making something else first,
I haven't really decided yet...

Thank you for reading this till the end :-)
